Housing, Environment and Community Safety (HECS)

 Housing , the Environment and Community Safety have joined together in this theme group as we have aims that are strongly linked with each other. Housing, and public housing plays a big part in peoples lives and there is a lot to do to raise standards across the estate. The housing department fully supports the new partnership in North Prospect and wants to promote more tenant and resident involvement. In this theme group we are looking at ways of engaging with people that live on the estate so that they can have a say in how the estate is managed. Housing conditions need to improve and so to does the environment that surrounds them. This includes both the physical environment and also crime and the fear of crime, how safe people feel on the estate. There is lots to do and a long way to go but working together we can make changes for the better.
